The Learning Environment

The Early Childhood Center has a Five Star Rated License.  The ECC accepts and implements the criteria for quality programs set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children.    The ECC maintains a 5 Star license with the NC Division of Child Development.

The ECC Offers a developmentally appropriate program, implemented with attention to children’s differing needs, interests and abilities.

Christian Learning

The ECC is a ministry of West Market Street United Methodist Church that seeks to reflect the highest Christian values and the best of care for children.  Through this program, we offer the finest in early childhood education and direct attention to the Christian faith through value education.  Parents are the primary faith sharers with children and parents choose the religious traditions in which children are reared.  The primary value at ECC is that God values every person. Through all programs and relationships, we seek to provide an environment where each child has opportunities to develop a sense of self worth and their own unique gifts as a child of God.

Organization

As a non-profit corporation, the ECC operates under a board of directors that is charged with the responsibility of assisting the ECC in fulfilling its purpose.

The board is not responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ECC.  This function is delegated to the ECC Administrators.

Half Day and School Age program families may occasionally request for their children to attend on additional days.  The tuition for those days is due on or before the day of attendance.
